I’m very excited to start off the week with one of my favorite male nail and make-up bloggers. Scott, from ‘One Gents Ten’ provides very detailed and honest reviews in addition to having a powerful impact on the blogging community. I love his openness with each post and the fact that he takes the time to respond to all comments. Warning, this post is photo heavy! So get ready for ‘Guys Takeover Week’ to begin!

Hello lovely readers! Today, I have an eye makeup post from Taylor at ‘Simply Beauty.’ She has a really cool blog that features (much like myself) all things beauty; which includes nail art, make up, etc. She came up with a really stunning Halloween inspired look with vivid pops of color. I apologize to her and you guys for posting this after Halloween but still think you could pull of something similar for a night out on the town! Check out these big beautiful hazel-brown eyes!!!…
I absolutely had to do a brow grooming post as I think it’s one of the most important parts of our face! I am by no means the end all be all brow groomer but I’ve seen many make-up artist’s work (as well as heard and seen them give advice) and also discovered my own techniques to what I believe produce the perfect brow. This will probably be one of my more lengthy posts as I want to make sure I get across all of the intended details. When you look at someone’s face what do you notice? Teeth, eyes… and eyebrows right? Eyebrows frame the face and depending on how they’re shaped a person can look neat, disheveled, masculine, feminine, overly made up, etc.
Hello Lovely Readers,
There’s nothing I love more than Sephora’s VIB perks. A Very Important Beauty Insider (VIB) member is someone who spends $350 or more in a full calendar year (January-December) with Sephora. If you’re interested to learn more take a look at the details here. This month I received a promotion code for 3 sample size Lancôme products; 2 mascaras and 1 mascara base.
I really like the brush on the Cils Booster XL, it’s on the large side but the bristles are separated and clean. I also didn’t mind the brush on Définicils as it is thinner but also has the separate and clean bristles. However, I don’t like the brush from the Hypnôse mascara. It’s thin and then oddly wide; it’s hard to wipe of the excess mascara towards the end.
I had nice clean separated lashes when I used Lancôme’s ‘Cils Booster XL’ base + ‘Définicils’ mascara. My results with Lancôme’s ‘Cils Booster XL’ base + ‘Hypnôse Doll Lashes’ mascara was similar but produced more clumps. Therefore, I wasn’t able to get as long of a look with this combination.
Tip: I apply my mascara by starting towards the base and slowing wiggling left and right towards the tip of the lash. I do this so the product is applied evenly and not clumpy at the ends.
Has anyone tried these products before? Until next time…
