Marc Jacobs ‘140 Petra’
First of all I want to say Happy New Year! I know that 2014 will be a great year (honestly, it already has shown promise) for me both personally and professionally. I don’t talk much about my personal life unless it affects my blog so many of you know the reasons for my absence. Everything is resolved and I’m even starting a new and exciting career today!
Today’s post features Marc Jacobs ‘140 Petra’ that I got for Christmas from my lovely sister-in-law and her boyfriend. This is a really interesting color and stands out from my nearly 2,000 polishes I own! I will try my best to describe this lovely shade!
First of all I have to note how much I love the packaging, this bottle is too adorable and the outer cap comes off to reveal a smaller top that’s easy to use. I was impressed with the formula as it’s nearly a 1 coater! For the swatches below I used 2 coats and 1 coat of Essie ‘Good to go’ topcoat. I’d describe this color as a plum silver bronze metallic, basically the base is a deep plum shade and it’s loaded with silver and bronze metallic flakes. In some lights it appears more brown/bronze and in other lights it appears to be a deep silver plum. It’s a medium to dark shade that again changes depending on the light. It’s truly stunning!
