Speckled Robin’s Egg Nails!

The first thing I thought of after I finished this mani were the little mini Cadbury eggs that come out around Easter. You know the little speckled eggs that come in the pretty pastel colors? I love them, I can go through an entire bag by myself in just a few days!
For this mani I used 2 coats of Essie ‘Mint Candy Apple’ which is a pale cool leaning mint green. It was more intense on the nail than I thought it would be, it’s still a pastel but it has a rich color. I then added 1 coat of Sephora by OPI ‘It’s Real 18k Gold Topcoat’ (purchase here; on sale for $15.00 now!) which is a fine speckled 18k gold flake topcoat that’s densely packed! And last but not least I added butter London ‘Matte Finish’ topcoat for a cool matte finish (repetitive, I know lol). The matte finish definitely lightened up the shade and gave the gold flecks an unusual dimension.

And of course I had to wear my cool mint colored rhinestone bow flats… Can we say perfect match? Of course, Ninja Polish’s white gold topcoat (see link here to sign up for the e-mail notification) would have been more appropriate but I’m still waiting on that one to come out!

I just love this mani and even though I’m going through that strange transition stage with my nail shape I really embraced this look on my nails. In the next couple of weeks you’ll see my nails s l o w l y become more oval which is my goal! What does this mani remind you of? Would you rock it!? Until next time…
♥ Cheers,
Bridget
The mint green goes perfectly with the gold topcoat.
I really like the outcome and I really like your nails shape today.
Thanks hun! They’re slowly growing… ^_^
This looks awesome matte! I would most definitely rock this!
It kinda reminds me of those little speckled chocolate eggs that come out at Easter. I think they’re made by Cadbury? Ugh, now I want some lol
Hehe, thanks, yeah I mentioned the Cadbury eggs in my first sentence. :o)
Hahaha so you did! Right on lol
Looks awesome, the matte finish is very reminiscent of real robins eggs! Great colour combo!
Love the combo, gold against light blue is so pretty!
