GOSH ‘548 Holographic Hero’ & KIKO ‘381’
As much as love pink and want to support Breast Cancer Awareness through my blog I needed a short break from pink. I have a manicure that features the come back of GOSH’s stunning silver holographic shade and a gorgeous cool deep gray featuring a chevron design.
A while back I ordered a bunch of french tip guide stickers from the eBay seller ‘baby_dolphin_777’ that you can view here. This seller offers 9 different designs including the classic curved for a ‘French Manicure’. She ships from the U.K. but it still only averages about $4 if you order 110 (although they do combine shipping) and the quality is much better than other manicure tip guides that I’ve used. I used design guide #4.
As the base I used 2 coats of KIKO ‘381’ which is a deep cool gray with a jelly-cream hybrid texture. KIKO’s are always so smooth and streak-free; they never cease to amaze me! For the tips (or really about half way) I used 1 coat of GOSH ‘548 Holographic Hero’ which is a bright silver with a linear holographic effect. I was impressed at how well this holographic polish coats, unlike Layla holographics that are quite sheer and need multiple coats to become opaque on the nail.
Both KIKO and GOSH polishes are available in the UK (and I believe other parts of Europe as well) and various eTailers. What do you guys think of this mani? Until next time…
