Layla ‘Coral Glam’ Holographic Nail Polish
I absolutely LOVE holographic nail polishes and Layla offers a strong linear holographic effect with little light. For the mani below I’m wearing 3 coats of Layla ‘Coral Glam’. This shade is by no means coral, it’s actually a muted dusty pink (slightly cool in tone as well) with a strong holographic effect. It appears to have a nude-ish tone in some lights as well, but it’s definitely mostly pink.
For these photos I used *no* base coat, instead I used the buffing file the polish came with to make my nails smooth. Check out Scrangie’s blog post here that describes the use of no base coat. I applied 3 coats of Layla ‘Coral Glam’ which applied evenly. The polish is thin and cannot be worn with a regular base coat as you will get strange streaky and bald spots. There are special base coats that can be purchased with these types of holographic polishes such as the Nfu Oh Aqua base that you can get here for $12.50. Layla ‘Coral Glam’ can be purchased here from Harlow & Co. for $16.00. There are other online stores that supply Layla nail polishes and ULTA carries their products as well.
What do you guys think of holographic nail polishes? Have you tried any Layla polishes? Until next time…
